Principal's Welcome
Priory Integrated College is committed to its ethos of integration, as summarised by our motto,
Accomplishing More Together
We celebrate difference in all its manifestations and ensure that children from Protestant and Catholic religious and/or cultural backgrounds, as well those from other faiths and none, are educated together. As a community, we learn with and from one another in a safe and inspiring environment.
When you come to Priory Integrated College, you will be struck by how warm and inviting the place and people are. Often visitors say how at home they feel, experiencing our inclusive and welcoming spirit. Here you will find exceptional staff with well mannered, curious, and happy children. High standards are understood, as is the expectation for academic excellence commensurate with ability. Importantly, this is rooted in a supportive environment where every child matters. Alongside strong academic progress, in Priory Integrated College, we seek to develop kind and driven young people, who will go out into the wider world and leave a lasting impact, making a difference for future generations.
As a UNICEF Rights Respecting School, we empower our pupils to ask questions, express their opinions in a courteous way and be part of continuous school improvement.
Working with Thinking Matters, we keep metacognition at the fore of our approach to teaching and learning and as an Apple Distinguished School, we continue to foster innovation, leadership, and educational excellence.
Our Key Stage 4 and 5 results are extremely impressive and are consistently above the Northern Ireland average for all–ability schools. Our pathways model ensures that courses meet the needs and aspirations of all our pupils.
In addition to subject learning, we place great emphasis on developing pupils’ soft skills such as their ability to lead and collaborate, solve problems, and exercise positive habits of mind. Our outstanding and proactive pastoral care underpins all that we do and is synthesised with our focus on pupil progress.
Our aim is that our pupils leave Priory Integrated College as well rounded, caring, kind and affable young people with a zest for life and learning.
Your child is welcome here and we will help them reach their full potential.
If you wish to know more about us, including the opportunities for development outside of the classroom, please have a read of the website and when the time comes, attend our open events where you will see our ethos and warm spirit in action.
